How Do I Remember All My Passwords?
I don’t know about you but I have a lot of usernames and passwords!
It seems that whatever you do, you have to create a username and password in just about everything.
Now, you could use the same one over and over again, but that is leaving yourself open to all sorts of security problems plus you can’t always do it the way you want to. Also if you bank online and make transactions online then a password manager is the answer.
So, how to remember all these username/passwords?
I have been using Roboform for quite a long time and it works fine for me.
When you have active Roboform it will automatically copy the new username/password and next time you log-in somewhere that username/password will fill it in automatically.
Note: for Mac users 1Password seems to be the Mac equivalent. The following is their blog http://www.switchersblog.com/ with lots of interesting stuff.
However, at one time it was difficult to back up Roboform but now no problems.
Further to that I had Roboform on my laptop and my desktop and once when I was on vacation, with the laptop, I updated to the latest version of Mozilla Firefox which I use.
Disaster!
Roboform had not yet caught up with the latest version. It didn’t take them long to do this, but lesson learned.
Since then they have now come up with Roboform Online where you can join up ((free) and your passwords etc will be automatically updated, from all your computers and be always available online, from any computer.
There is also this month a new release RoboForm For iPhone / iPod Touch – free for Roboform Online users.
Your passwords are encrypted and you are the only one that access them.
Further to that you can store a lot of personal data like bank account numbers, social security numbers, credit card numbers and more, all of which will be protected with strong encryption.

Great and helpful post. I heard about Roboform but still use index cards for my login info records.
Some key logins I remember but the list is getting longer and longer.
I like especially you mentioning the product for Mac because I use one.
Your blog looks great and you are posting frequently. I have to visit more often to learn from you.
I think you used to have top commentators before. Now I don’t see it.
I wonder what was the reason of discontinuing it if any.
I’m told that it’s helpful to have it but maybe something new has come up.

I use Sticky Password which is a great. Integrated into any window, works with applications, filling forms. Easy and handy.
Still sounds unstable to me. But I will check this out; I’m cluttered with user names and password that I need to remember.
