Clickbank Categories Updated
From Jan 2010 Clickbank have introduced some changes to the way they show categories in their Marketplace and this can only be helpful for both affiliates and vendors.
Clickbank states:
“Beginning in January 2010, ClickBank will feature all-new categories and subcategories in our Marketplace. Below is a complete list. Categories & subcategories will regularly change, so be sure to check this page for the most current list.”
They have also stated that all clients are limited to one category and subcategory, which can only be good as affiliates will no longer keep finding the same product listed in many different categories.
Searching through the Marketplace has just become easier.
The following is the current list of categories:
- Arts & Entertainment
- Betting
- Business / Investing
- Computers / Internet
- Cooking, Food & Wine
- E-business & E-marketing
- Employment & Jobs
- Fiction
- Games
- Green Products
- Health & Fitness
- Higher Education
- Home & Garden
- Languages
- Mobile
- Parenting & Families
- Politics / Current Events
- Reference
- Self-Help
- Software & Services
- Spirituality, New Age & Alternative Beliefs
- Sports
- Travel
A much more detailed list of sub-categories can be found here.
It seems to be much easier to find products available now so well done Clickbank!

Hi Dave,
I haven’t been to Clickbank page for a while so thanks for the update.
It seems that searching by categories is still not going to be the best way to find things even though it should be better now.
The best way will probably still be to enter a basic keyword.
Previously I’ve found that if I put in a too narrow term their system wouldn’t find any results.
But when I searched broadly it was there.
That’s my experience and maybe I was doing something wrong.

Hi Vance,
I think it is an improvement as you can narrow things down much more now with the detailed category list.
Maybe they listened to their customers

Thanks for your comments.
