One of the things that people with more experience advise is to get organized if you want to get ahead.

That is fair comment and I have no complaints with that. I need that advice.

For myself, whenever I download, I do so to my Desktop so that I can quickly deal with it later (he says).
However, I do tend to let it pile up a bit and then it gets more complicated so then  I have to take time out to tidy my desktop, and of course, it becomes more difficult to find things.

Happily, I have recently come across a great piece of free software which I find very useful.


I thought I would pass it on in case you have not heard about it, and perhaps it may be useful for you as well.

FENCES by Stardock is a program that helps you organize your desktop, and can also hide your icons when they’re not in use.
It’s FREE for personal use.
