Last week I watched a video by successful internet marketer, Lee McIntyre.

For those that don’t know him he is someone who has come quickly from nowhere to great success in a very short time ($100,000+ per month).

Needless to say, when he speaks I listen.

The title of the video was “How To Make Your First $1000 Even if You Have No List or Products”.

What made this video interesting was that at first Lee gave the standard (good) advice, which is that if you want to build a sustainable business and make serious money you need to create and sell your own products.

You can be quite intimidated by all the stuff you need to know, which way to go, how to do it, how to get started………and so on.

There is just so much to learn and do, plus all the time and frustrations it takes to do this.

I am sure we have all been there or perhaps you are just there right now.

However, the point of the video was to tell about what he calls his “Vienna Moment”, which happened in Vienna (!) where he was on vacation.

At the time he was just starting to become successful selling his own products, when he realized that the reason he was able to produce these products, was because he had learned all the necessary skills at the start by promoting other peoples’ products.

By starting as an affiliate you are attaching yourself to someone who has probably already figured it out and you can then learn from that!

Many of the better marketers will show you how to write emails, drive traffic and provide an excellent affiliate package – in fact show you the way.

Obviously, it is in their interest as much as yours to make sales.

Forget about making a product if you haven’t made any money yet – just learn the skills and make some money while you are doing it.

Money can be earned with affiliate marketing, not a large amount, but Lee McIntyre learned what worked and what did not. You can figure it all out without any big expenses, or big outlay.You learn to do what works and you don’t do what doesn’t work.

You learn to drive traffic by using various methods, testing for what works and what doesn’t. You learn the skills.

  1. Start by finding a hot converting affiliate offer with great affiliate backup
  2. Create a powerful review blog,
  3. Drive a truck load of traffic to that blog.

When the first commissions start to arrive then you will then be convinced that money can be made from internet marketing!

See the potential.

Then make it bigger and faster.

Believe it is possible than it will happen.

When you have the knowledge, confidence and skills then create your own products!
